600+ totals against an injured 11 were supposed to be a winning total but thanks to the expertise of our players we let that pass and finally drew the match. Jaffer, Ganguly,Laxman,Sachin,Dhoni,Dravid ,everyone of them shined during the first innings against what was known as a team whose bowlers were not physically capable of fighting it out in the middle. The Indians took advantage and made sure they make a statement (whatever that is). With a mammoth total on board jumbo thought he could have finished the game with an innings defeat. And Pakistan was showing those symptoms until Misbah and Akmal saved the day and even went to the extent of avoiding follow on. The second innings wasn’t as great as the first because the scenario pointed towards a draw and also the Pak bowlers were fit after the rest. The way it was going Pak seemed to lose the match but their old horses came to the rescue. Given half a day more they could have even won it.

India looked as helpless as they could on the field. Fielding was pathetic and bowling below average. Hopefully we win in Bangalore and save face. Its the only game we excel at (to an extent) and we must make sure its not collision course for us before the tour down under.
