I was expecting we will win at Kolkata too. What should have been a victory was turned into a draw by the Paks. These guys have sheer guts and are determined till the last minute. They are always good at playing under pressure. More than a couple of tons by the Paks, it was India’s misfielding that lead to a draw. A couple of catches were dropped by Indians which was a blessing for them. Though we did well initially, at the end the Paks put up a good fight. Younis Khan, the captain played a responsible game. He played under tremendous pressure. When Younis came in to bat Pakistan was at 78 for 4 which was a depressing and pathetic score. Instead of being defensive he went out and fought his way to a century.

Though Kumble set the field tight for Younis, he attacked Kumble and drove for two fours in the initial over itself. This guy really blasted kumble and frustrated Harbajan Singh. He didn’t hesitate to hit a four. At 97 runs he made a clean reverse sweep and reached his century. His boundaries rattled the bill boards. He not only changed the complexion of the game but also the image of Pakistan’s batting order. A loosing match has been turned into a draw. Pakistan’s coach Geoff Lawson said that it is moral victory for Pakistan. I don’t understand this. So did Anil Kumble. Either you win a match or you loose or draw. What is this moral victory? Anyway we cannot but admire the wonderful and eventful last day at Kolkata thanks to Younis Khan.
