After India were reeling at about 60 odd runs for 4 wickets I thought that we were heading to a disappointing series leveler and India would throw away another chance to win a series against Pakistan.



What followed was a royal show which I would like to call the 'Maharaj and the Yuvraj show'. I missed early parts of their know but had the fortune of watching them bat together and provide us with entertainment of the highest order.



I love to see Ganguly succeed. He wears his heart on his sleeve and it shows. Nothing better to see an emotional and determined cricketer succeed. After his comeback it seems he is getting better and better by the day. Let's see what he comes up in Australia.



Frankly, I did not expect Yuvraj to do so well this match. I still think that his technique is suspect for the 5 day match. He will be tested in a fast and swing/seaming conditions. But there is one thing that is so basic in cricket, which is for a batsman he should score runs and for a bowler he should get wickets. And Yuvraj did that brilliantly today. His timing and execution of shots were super. He has the gift of timing and time (see the ball early). Being aggressive and going for runs seems to be a good tactic in todays cricket and that is what Yuvraj did.



My highlight of the day was when Yuvraj got his century. His jump and then the big hug that he got from his ex-captain Ganguly was special. Ganguly seems to be a people's man. Every one knows that he mentored Yuvraj and championed his cause. His big hug and happiness still shows that he values Yuvraj and backs him.
