With the Indo Pak tour getting closer to the end India has only two options. Win at Bangalore and establish supremacy or lose and be shamed. Draw and be simple, is another option. With Pakistani’s coming back to form it seems likely that it’s a choice between the first and the second. They are going to go all out for this one and if we blink too much, we might just be knocked off.
A loss would definitely create doubt as to whether the next challenge is surmountable or not. Who else than the best in the business, the Aussies. And they are not going to be in a good mood at all. With the entire racist row and the fire between the two teams it’s only natural that Indians would be treated like shit in that country. To add to that a fear of a whitewash would also linger in the minds of the players. With all Aussies in prime form as ever its very important that we don’t get them into the picture presently. We must establish a better ground before the showdown and get physically and mentally fit players for the game. Sehwag may be an addition as he has done well against the Aussies. RP will be back for one dayer’s and Shree may also make it in. But the way the BCCI is going who knows who’s in and who’s out. The new coach may either prove a boon or a burden to the camp. That is one card that we must play with utmost care. It would not be good for the players to change background immediately and I would hope the BCCI appoints a coach after the tour. Whatever is going to unfold over the next 15 days will tell the tale of the coming months. As of now we can only hope we win against Pakistan, at least.
