Why can't players celeberate?

I think the ICC and the match referees are all out to make cricket a very mild game. I do not see anything wrong with what Peterson had done. C'mon he just won a game for this country, can't he celeberate? Go wild, jump, smash his bat, pump his fist, bang his chest with his team mates, cry on the field and if he is happier even do a mock dance in front of his opponents!
Every sport allows this. But not crciket, because it is a so called gentlemans game. Spectators will love to see passion on the field.
I understand that there has to be a line drawn somewhere but right now the line is way too low and curbs natural sporting instinct.
What do you guys think?
